2018 Founders Day Celebration

The Huntsville Alumnae Chapter celebrated the 105th anniversary of the founding of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens Grand Hall.

The theme for the event was “Delivering on Delta’s Promise”.  The committee chair persons for this event were, from left to right, Soror Laura Clift, Soror Patricia Sims, and Soror Amanda Watkins.

This year’s celebration was a 3-day event.  On Thursday, January 11, HAC sorors had a fellowship dinner prior to chapter meeting.

 

On Saturday, January 13, we had our Founders Day Program.   Soror Patricia Sims, (below right),  was the chairperson for Founders Day.  Our keynote speaker for the event was Soror Laura Hall, (below center), who currently serves as Alabama State Representative for District 19.Over 240 sorors attended this event.

On Sunday, January 14, we joined our chapter president, Soror Jackie Perry (above left), for worship service at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
